Wayna Peru Expeditions was born out of a genuine passion for sharing the untamed majesty, living cultures, and ancestral wisdom of Cusco and the Peruvian Andes. Founded by native Quechua-speaking trekking guides who grew up navigating high mountain passes, we set out to build an agency that puts local communities, ethical employment, and traveler safety first.
Over more than a decade, we have guided thousands of adventurous souls along the Inca Trail, across the glaciers of Salkantay and Ausangate, and through the secluded stone sanctuaries of Choquequirao. We believe that true travel is not about ticking boxes from a bus window, but feeling the mountain breeze, sharing smiles with native weavers, and discovering sacred citadel ruins at sunrise before the crowds arrive.
