Pick you from hotel lobby Cusco at 3 a.m. for Rainbow Peak from Cusco. Ride starts, three hours in own van—about two on smooth road, one on rough—to start point.
At start point, get box meal to fuel up for walk. After eat, start up to top Rainbow Peak. Climb takes around one hour, your speed. On trail, see colorful Andes scenes, maybe llamas, alpacas, locals sell coca tea, sodas, other drinks.
At top Rainbow Peak, time for wide views, photos. Stay about 30 min to 1 hour top, weather and group pace.
After views Rainbow Peak, short 30 min walk to amazing Red Valley, less known but just as good spot. Then back start point, about one hour.
From start point, drive around one hour to Cusipata town, good lunch there. After lunch, head back Cusco, drop hotel around 3 p.m., traffic depending.
